Aliens – 1986

One of the Alien Eggs and the Face Hugger. The second in the film series of four starring Sigourney Weaver and directed by James Cameron.

The film launched the careers of several actors including Bill Paxton and Paul Reiser. It was nominated for 7 Oscars including best actress for Sigourney Weaver as well as winning for best special effects. Only six alien suits were used. The appearance of hundreds of aliens is simply clever editing and planning. The films budget was $18 million dollars and it made $10 million dollars in the opening weekend alone.

One of the Aliens film sets was kept intact after filming and was later used as the Axis Chemicals set for the Batman film in 1989.
